[She hates telepathy, of others being able to just talk to her even when they're in the same room. Oh sure, it's fine enough when she wants to talk to someone but not so much when they're doing it first. And it is inconvenient - it will always be inconvenient when it's the witch on the other end.]

What do I want? Why, Velvet, I thought you'd never ask--

I want to love and to feel loved, healthy and happy relationships in all areas of my life, to have my perspective and beliefs respected, a career or other kind vocation that is meaningful and utilizes my talents, to be in shape while being able to eat anything I want, adequate amounts of rest and sleep, more money, shorter schedules, peace of mind, and a strawberry sundae!!!

[Velvet, you get booze. It's fairly nice booze, all things considered, but really Edna has no clue what to get you and if you know Eizen you probably like booze?

She does attach a note saying if this was the wrong gift to let her know and she'll get something else, admitting that it's hard to buy for someone as snarky as she is.]

[ There will be some eggnog rice pudding and other christmas desserts set aside for Velvet. ( Not aware of Velvet's lack of taste, oops. ) As well as a familiarly designed black and red scarf, a reference to her default outfit color scheme, that is actually paired with Laphicet's in mind.

Acqua included a gift as well! A silver dagger-looking shape.. it's probably a hair pin from the looks of it. Or maybe just a pin you'd put on your shirt. ..She just thought it was pretty and Velvet would like it. ]

[She will at least eat it even if she can't taste it and even wear the scarf though she doesn't need it. For the dagger-looking thing... Velvet will keep it safe. In response, Mikleo will get a messenger bird.]

[Velvet will receive a handwritten note with some extra scribbles ("This entitles you to one sandwich from a restaurant on me. - Finn" with this written in: "How about some sparring instead of food?") and a small box containing this necklace. Hey, at least she can't sneeze at this one.]

Suzaku had a bit of trouble picking out something fitting for Velvet, but in the end went with a seasonal present.

She gets a delivery of a black winter cloak. Whether or not she needs it, it's nice to touch and see, and she can move well in it.

[While on his way back to the airship sometime later in the evening of the same day he learned about something rather important, she's going to feel that strange mental nudge of someone trying to contact her. She may be able to tell it's him, but also maybe not since he's still kind of new and they haven't communicated this way much.

And if she doesn't respond the first time, there will be a pause before it comes back a little stronger. And this will continue to annoying, incessant levels until she responds.]

[She hates telepathy and would like to avoid ever being contacted if not for the fact that these people CAN JUST KEEP AT IT FOR AS LONG AS THEY WANT. Velvet much rather prefers it when she can be the one contacting them. If people want to talk to her, they should send a letter.

So she does ignore the first nudge. And the second and third one while she's at it until finally:]

[At some day of no particular week at some random time in the morning on the airship, Velvet's going to suddenly feel a strong squirt of water blasting the back of her head. If she turns around, she won't see anyone but someone on this ship shot at her and really it probably won't be too hard to guess.

[ Elios is not quite sure why he feels the need to correct Velvet's assumptions, but there's some hurt in her that Elios can't help but address. She hurt Sosyne and he should want to be rid of her, but if this matter isn't fixed, he feels like more Arehtei will continue being hurt. His family will be in danger.

It's a quiet night when Elios decides to speak with Velvet. Her amulet might grow a bit bloodier than usual. It's just Elios sending a transmitted message. ]

... I shouldn't be speaking with you, but I must.

[ Sleep doesn't come easily to Velvet, even though her digs in jail are much nicer than the last jail she was in. So when her amulet turns even more read (because a lot of her emotions are hate and love - let's face it) she opens her eyes waiting for something to happen. Perhaps someone come to take revenge on her.

Instead it's just a familiar voice in her head. She sighs because even though Velvet still doesn't like Elios much after everything, she does try to avoid him to not make things worse again. Her feelings of hatred have gone down to a more simple dislike. ]

I didn't think I'd be getting a message from an Arehtei, especially not you. [ Sorry not sorry but Elios is her least favorite of the Arehtei. ]
